Gelgit Teknoloji is looking for a Solaris/Linux and Network Administrator to be responsible for the day-to-day administration, support, and operation of it’s systems, ensuring the continuous, 24x7x365 operation of our production and development systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Overall administration and maintenance of Solaris and Linux systems.
* Maintenance, administration, and monitoring of the network.
* Monitoring of mission critical systems
* Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
* Maintenance of server and network security.
* Assisting in trend analysis, capacity planning, and budgeting for our technical infrastructure.
* Server maintenance including software/hardware upgrades, performance tuning, problem determination, and repair.
* Maintaining relationships with vendors.
Requirements
* LINUX & UNIX System Administration skills, including Red Hat and Solaris (minimum of three years experience).
* Network Administration skills, including IP Addressing, IP Subnets, VLAN, STP and Routing on Cisco equipment (minimum of two years experience).
* Experience working in a 7x24x365 mission critical environment.
* An understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; TCP/IP, firewalls, Snmp/syslog, client/server programming, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery Strategies.
* Ability to identify tasks that require automation and automate them using Bourne/Korn shell scripting and/or Perl.
* Experience managing services in a co-location environment.
* Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Strong documentation skills with great attention to detail.
* Must thrive in a fast-paced, time compressed, and dynamic environment.
* B.S. in Computer Science or technical field preferred.
* Netscreen, Cisco PIX experience is a plus.
* CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.
* Oracle experience is a plus.
